I have been rehabbing homes since 1995. Some for myself, others for resale. “Flipping” is not what I do, because for me, it’s not about speed–it’s about beauty.
I live in a suburb of Chicago, that has been compared to “Mayberry” I have done all of my hands on projects close to home so far. Though I have been commissioned to help with the design to redo 2 long distance: Gettysburg, PA and Newbury, NH.
I aspire to do a house for my family along the Carolina Coast some day soon.
For me, the satisfaction is the transformation. It’s finding the diamond in the rough. Turning the sow’s ear into the silk purse.
In between rehabbing houses I also take on some other creative challenges, many of which involve recycling, repurposing or rejuvenating.
